Joy Weber stands as a living testament to the transformative power of embracing diverse passions. With a trailblazing career that encompasses law, lobbying, renewable energy development, and business consulting, Joy has emerged as a beacon of sustainable progress and unwavering dedication. Joy’s foundational studies in art and psychology at Penn State, converged seamlessly with her passion for advocacy. Ultimately venturing into law, she graduated from Regent University in Virginia. She spent her early years working at a well-respected traditional law firm, Rifkin, Weiner, Livingston, where she was able to advocate for a vast number of clients and issues before the Maryland General Assembly.

This journey introduced her to the realm of renewable energy development. Joy joined one of her clients, a forward-thinking startup who developed the United States’ first offshore wind farm. A testament to their success, Deepwater Wind was acquired by a Danish Utility, Orsted, as they entered the US market. At Orsted, Joy lead market initiatives for the company all along the US East Coast as well as coordinated joint ventures with US utilities. Joy recently pursued an Executive MBA at Darden, University of Virginia’s school of business. Amplifying her leadership capabilities and business savvy, this academic stride equipped her to engineer more profound changes within the sustainable energy sector, sports betting and gaming industry, and beyond.
