In an extremely tumultuous economic time for the real estate industry and on behalf of a major trade association for the shopping center industry, Capitol Strategies drafted legislation which extended the expiration dates of all permits thereby providing additional plannig flexibilty to the industry at large during the difficult environment. Capitol Strategies led the lobbying effort and the bill’s ultimate passage through the coordination of testimony, messaging and industry allies while also working with State agencies and local governments initially opposed to the legislation.
