On behalf of the largest senior care provider association in the Mid-Atlantic, representing more than 245 senior care provider organizations in Maryland and the District of Columbia, Capitol Strategies successfully advocated for the restoration of more than $10 million in State funding for increased nursing home reimbursement.

For a coalition of institutional and private healthcare providers, Capitol Strategies worked with the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and various stakeholders to successfully pass legislation requiring the Maryland Health Care Commission and the Health Services Cost Review Commission to designate a State health information exchange (HIE).
