A large regional natural gas distributor proposed building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facility on a company-owned site which had been in operation since the 1940s and previously served as a natural gas storage facility. The facility is a key part of the company's strategic plan for meeting the region's future energy needs at reasonable prices. Numerous pieces of legislation have been filed over the years attempting to block the LNG storage facility’s construction. Working together with Capitol Strategies the company has been able to continually defeat legislation which would place hundreds of millions of dollars of natural gas delivery and infrastructure costs on Maryland’s consumers.

Representing a leading solar energy development company, Capitol Strategies lobbied the Maryland General Assembly and the Office of Governor O’Malley to pass legislation creating tax credits for solar energy production and mandating that solar energy comprise a significant level of Maryland’s renewable portfolio standard.
